Need diagram for a 95 ford explorer transmission vaccume lines.I cant find out where it goes. Automatic trans but have to feather the throttle to make it shift into 2nd gear. It"s on the drivers side of the tranny.I know there was one there because its not even dirty but the line is completely gone.Just need a diagram. Thanks

Is it a automatic or standard if it is an auto.I would check the modulator valve on the trans,pull the vaccum line off and check for trans fluid in the line.

start at the throttle linkage and disconnect there follow routing of old cable and place new one in same was old cable and finish at the transmission, suggest a chilton or hayes repair manual with diagrams and step directions, and helps with future repairs, auto stores around $30

it may not be a vacumn leak from a line,check the throttle shaft for movement,for example,i had a 89 1 ton 350 and my throttle shaft was moving around a lot and in order to keep it from idling high,i had to kick the throttle pedal.But also check the idle air control valve,which is the round sensor on the side of the throttle body.

Trans pan is going to be the very lowest part of your transmission. The filter swap is just slightly concerning. Not to be rude, but you might want to have an assistant that is familiar with trans basics to walk you thru the first one if locating the pan was difficult.
If you feel that the filter swap is something you would like to do, start out by getting the filter kit and reviewing the included instructions. If they are not able to give a full and detailed explanation, they sometimes include a number to call. Dont bother. Just come back here and ask!
Automatic transmissions do not come with a drain plug. You will need to loosen all the small bolts around the edge except for one, to keep the entire pan from crashing to the ground and splashing oil everywhere. pull the edge down and into the drain pan goes the trans fluid. The filter is right under the pan. Cant miss it.

It is real important to be as clean as possible. No contaminants in the trans. If you can, pressure wash the area first and stay operating room clean!

I have the same problem with my 94 explorer with a manual transmission, Just replaced the trans a month ago because of gear failure and now It's slipping out of gear when the engine isn't under load aka Coasting, was Told By a Really good Trans Guy that this is a failure in the Linkage in the transfer case am about to tear into mine tho It's way over my technical ability but will repost here after I get it torn apart with potential prices for worn parts for the do it yourselfer, And Has to be the issue I hope because the gears in the transmission are in pristine condition the other reason for suspecting the transfer case is that when my trans is slipping and making that weird Rattle Clatter sound coming from the trans if I put it in 4x4 low it drives great even tho the front wheels aren't pulling since I have the front drive shaft off at the moment,, Well Here goes Nothing Wish me luck on this teardown gonna need it..

I have a 1994 Ford 4x4 6 the trans has starting to act funny when cold won't go in drive for about 5 min, also takes a long time to change gears after gets warm. I'm changing fluid and filter to see if that will help.. Any help is much needed thank you
