There are two plugs on trany , one drain , one refiil.
Lift car and level it , open refill plug , set aside.
Open Drain plug and drain the oil.
Reinstall drain plug.
Use sifon pump to pump oil in to refill hole.
Fill it up untill oil start coming out of refill hole.
Reinstall refill plug.
You are done.
Plugs are for 22 or 24 mm wrench. One at the bottom the other one at level of drive axle of the transmission. They are same size.

Where is the transmission oil located?

for honda's, the transmission fluid is located next to the front engine on the bottom. try to look for another deep stick like the oil stick but smaller and changing it is like changing your oil.

What is the best kind of transmission fluid to put in my car....I have a 1995 honda accord v.6

You must use AFT-Z1. The part number is CA66689. If you use Dexron III a friction modifier additive must be used with it such as Lubeguard or Kleenflo Platinum. This will help change the chemical nature of the Dex III so that it acts like Z1. Dex III by itself will cause damage to the transmission in a 1999 Honda accord. Honda used Dex III in transmissions built up to 1995, but after that they redesigned the transmissions and switched to their own fluid so be careful.

1995 honda accord..transmission shifts hard.. true or false? if fluid has never been changed is it better not to change it..been told this by several people. I know it doesnt have a serviceable filter and...

in my opinion..if your milage is between 75K-140K I would try and just do a drain and fill and not a full exchange. If it is over 150K DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! See the deal is is that like oil, trans fluid is a fluid that breaks down and becomes bad after a certain amount of time. ANd once you put new fluid in, it breaks away all those containments, and metal particles and could do damage. so it is solely on you if you want to try it out or not. it could fix it, it could make it worst.

Car jerks a little when the transmission is shifting gears. It's a 1997 Honda Accord.

not sure how rought but traditionally, Honda's are known to shift rough... its kinda their sporty style. I think its funny that the Accord is considered a "sedan", when clearly is not a Taurus or Impala which are purely sedans.

cheers!
