05 dodge neon wont crank over installed new ignition switch car cranked and started 3 times on the 4th time nothing its not even clicking just nothing checked all fuses & relay switches and battery/starter connection. Its almost like a connection isnt being made i hear the fuel pump kick on when u turn key on but when u turn key all the way forward to start nothing ????

make sure the black wire coming out of the soliniod on the bottom. if that is not connected the you r not getting power to the coil pack for the car to turn on. if it is connected make sure the wire is not showing, because if the wire is showing then the wire will short out and u will replace all those parts for a shorted wire.

auto parts store h as special tool to remove clips but u can use a flathead scerw driver gently pull handle from door panel and sneak screw driver behind handle pushing c clip out but becarefull they sometimes shoot out

well it sounds to me as if the timing bet as jumped its time,mabe not much a tooth or two. but thats all it would take to make the car want to start, but it wont let the car fire properly.

There are 4 motor mounts on a Neon. You need a jack to support the bottom of the motor with a block of wood on it. 2 are easily replaceable, but there is one that goes to the middle of the front of the engine that is tricky, plus the transmission mount is accessed after removing several components, like the battery and tray. It may be better to have a professional take care of those "tricky" mounts.
