Try another cd wont play if too scratched or dirty. handle disc by edge, dont touch the surface of disc no matter how lightly you hold it, you will leave contaminants that cloud the surface. if none ever work try them in a house cd player still no joy, then discs aare no good, if they work in home player then car cd died, time for new one. heck who uses cd any more? its a hassle to change them (only 16 songs!), hassle to replace lost daamaged or stolen(borrowed by friends), skip or scratches, get a radio with usb reader/player or SD card reader, can be had for under $60 , an 8gb SD card for $25 (4,000 songs<do you even KNOW the names of that many songs?) PLus, without a cd slot the thieves should leave your radio alone, thinking its just a normal am/fm radio. goto www.dealextreme.com for great deals and FREE SHIPPING.

2007 toyota camry cd player reading error 1

I had the error code no. 1 in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has the CD radio unit with JBL system. It will not eject the CD, or play it. I removed the entire radio/CD unit and replaced it with a used excellent unit bought off of ebay for $100, and the replacement works fine. However the replacement is also 7 years old. Therefore I would not be surprised if it failed again. Prior to the error 1 I had intermittent error 3 codes, which had the same effect: no playing of the CD, unable to eject, and unable to insert other CDs. Sometimes the error codes would go away, and the function would be normal. But once it started, I think it was on a downhill path. A new replacement is nearly $2000. Used are about $100 to $200 or more depending on the seller and condition of the unit. Youtube has videos on how to replace the unit which only requires simple tools: it is not difficult but takes about 45 minutes to an hour. If you do it you have to put the car in gear to move the gear shift gate, which requires the car to be on, so you should have the parking brake on for safety. One alternative is to send your unit to a repair company but that might cost more than simply replacing the unit. Good luck!

My cd player won't eject or play cd's. It just says cd error. How can I fix this.

Its possible the cd player is defective, I would get a paper clip and find the eject hole that is on every cd player. It might be hidden along the lip of where you stick the cd into the machine. Once you have the cd out, put in a cd that you have played before or on another cd player. Once you know that the player works or does not work you can figure out if you are going to replace it yourself or have the dealer do it.

Cd changer won't respond - not playing

OK...I had the same sort of thing happen to the cd player in my parents echo, the player wouldn't read the cds and the seek would go up to 99, but I was able to eject them.

This is where the fun starts...I popped the player out of the car and took it apart....the laser head wasn't moving, so I put a small bit of electronic safe oil on it and manually moved it back and forth myself to spread the oil around. put the player back together, put it back in the car and it worked fine afterwards.

I don't know what to tell you thought about it not ejecting.
