You need to find a shop which services air conditioning to take a look at your system. On a car that old some components are most likley beyond their service life and any attemptto recharge the system will be fruitless.

2001 Ford F250, have no heat, blows only cold air. Have changed heater core, thermostat is working properly. Have checked and tried everything it seems and still no heat.

Hi Shannon, IM AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Shannon, it looks like you have ruled out the coolant side not heating properly with the thermostat replacement and coolant flow through the heater core because you replace it as well. Let's first make sure coolant is getting to the heater core. Here's an easy way to check this issue. Start the engine and drive it until completely warm then park and leave the engine running, open the hood and check each heater hose that is connected to the heater core at the firewall. If both hoses are equally hot then the coolant is getting to the core and working properly. If one is a lot cooler then the other then you could have a heater valve on the system "OR" a water pump flow issue. BUT, if they are equally hot, then you most like have a heater door issue inside a/c housing. If the heater door is not working properly and staying on the cold side you will not have heat. Lets stay in close contact buy you going to my auto-repair-website and work together. Just click on "CONTACT US" and I'll work with you until we resolve this issue. http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

Heater Blower Motor not working. Fuses all OK. Blower Motor OK tested with resistors in circuit OK. Switch tested OK. I semm to be dopping volts between restors and switch connection. Diagram that I have...

I don`t know what year your car is but my 91 Escort had 4 little connections under the glove box where the passengers feet would be right in front of the blower moter (i.e. some one sitting in the passenger seat could hit these 4 relay type things if they kicked their leg) and my had been dammaged and that stopped my blower motor from working until I straightened them out and reconnected them all.

How do I change the heater core on a 91 Escort?

Don't start unless you have plenty of time and patience. It will require removing the dash, Removing the radio console and heater controls will give you access to it - but you won't likely be ablr to get it out with just that.

Problem with my heater on my escort van

try putting a 12v feed to the heater fan, if it works, you have a problem with your wiring, if it doesnt work, your blower is faulty.

hope this helps.

Heater not working in ford escort

Hi Roger,

This is prashant from india. well i am mostly into cars especially ford escort. the problem that you have seems to be with the heater coil, if the compressor and blower is working fine then definitely its the problem with the heating coil. Might be wiring issue or the coil might have gone bad. so you may need to replace.
