Yes ,its on the passenger side inside the radiator .(if you have one) You will see to steel lines coming out of the radiator one at the top and one on the bottom I beleive the top is your inlet and the bottom is the return line

The trans cooler is in one of the radiator tanks. All automatics have this. Some vehicles with the bigger motors and transmissions will also have a separate cooler. Some people will install a separate cooler in there vehicles when they do a lot of hauling or trailering.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have a 2000 toyota 4runner SR5 3.4 liter 4WD. My question is my anti freeze mixed with my transmission fluid then it burst out. What are the common problems with this matter. Thanks for your reply in...

you radiator is shot and you need to get the trans flushed out as soon as possible before it burns the trans up. The trans uses the radiator as a cooler and the internal cooling line has ruptured. How did it burst out? from where? What burst?

My 1998 gmc jimmy transmission is not shifting right. i just had the fluid changed it was black looking. after changing the fluid it shifted ok at first but now the fluid is starting to get dark looking...

I would try changing the fluid and filter again. Sounds to me like there is a lot of crud built up in it and another change would probably do the trick. It probably wouldn't hurt to add a bottle of Lucas Trans Fluid at the same time. It will help extend the life of your transmission. Black fluid would likely be clutch material that wears off over time.
If this doesn't work you are likely in the market for another trans. Hope this helps.

My truck is stuck in 4LO and it won't come out of 4LO.

Likely either a shifter position sensor, transmission position sensor, or a differential position sensor. Had same issue w/ my Montero and it ended up being one of the 5 sensors on the transfer case. It was pretty tough to get to, so replaced all 5. That fixed it.

4WD UNIT JUMPS OUT OF HIGH?

EASY FIX!

Your Schro's are going bad in the 4WD HIGH Trans Case. This sucks i know. But i had the same problem berfore.

Unit will continue to work good in low range since the stress is less then on the HIGH range. I would never use the 4WD HIGH anyway...doesnt do much on the street...just tears up the gearing and schros.

Hope this helps,

THanks,

Mark
