In the message center box security light has come on

SECURITY would appear in MSG Center. It would come on and off with no rhymm or reason. There's a connection for your power seats under each seat. Remove back bolts that secure seat to frame and simply tilt seat forward to get at it.There's a clip that secures this connection to metal body. I scraped off paint and squeezed clip so it had better ground connection. Drill a hole through clip and body and insert sheet metal screw if you want over-kill. SECURITY MSG went away. There could be a bunch of other causes that aren't so simple; so try this 1st.

you can clean the switch , use contact cleaner , from any store for computer, or electronic parts.
If the problem persist the light is in short, replace it

Unless you used the correct coded key cylinder the engine will not start.

GET IT CODE SCAN SEE WHAT CAUSING SECURITY LIGHT TO TURN ON. PROBLEM IN THE BCM MODULE OR THE IMMOBILIZER CONTROL MODULE CANT READ KEY CODE.

Press and release the trip/reset button until the oil life message is displayed.Then press and hold the trip/reset button until and chime is herd 5 times and reset is displayed in the message center.When the system is reset the odometer will be displayed in the message center.Turn the key to the off position.When you turn the key on if the change oil message is still there it did not reset.Retry again.Hope this helps.Good luck.

usually a fuse / loss of ground

try taking your possitive battery cable off touch it on negative terminal for 10 seconds and hook back up if that don't work you may have a computer issue

IF THE LIGHT IS ON THERE IS A PROBLEM W/THE SYSTEM.EVENTUALLY IT WILL NOT START.YOUR COMPUTOR GROUND THE CRANK RELAY WHEN (AMONG OTHER THINGS IT SEE THE RIGHT CODE FROM THE SECURITY SYSTEM)THERE IF NO FUSE OF IT.
