The car runs fine, NO SYMPTOMS.
code 35 - - I had the Radiator Fan Relay replaced last year, on the basis of a diagnosis (by a dealer) that the "service engine soon" code required it. There has never been an overheating issue.
Code 42 - - No issues with starting or engine shutting down.
Could it be wiring or connection issues? How is the ASD relay removed? It won't budge when I pull on it.

Hi Wayne, what you do is turn the key to the "on" position and back to "off". Do this three times. The engine light will flash. It will flash a certain amount of times, pause, then another set of flashes. The first set of flashes is the first number of your code. The second set is the second number. For example, you see 5 flashes, your first number of your code is 5, and so on.

I had this problem with my 98. There is a relay mounted on the wheel well below the battery. There is also a relay in the ecm. The engine computer. Hope this helps.

I don't believe your particular vehicle's cooling system needs to be bled during coolant filling, but check the coolant level first. It seems that the coolant level is too low for the sensors to be able to sense the temperature, or the sensors are disconnected. Look for a connector on the intake manifold, near the coolant outlet. Ensure it is properly connected.

Check under hood in box marked fuses & relay, on drivers side and look under cover of it for I.D.
