Do not use compressed.air the line is segmented and youdrivers side will blow it apart the orifice at the end of.the drain needs to be cut and that should fix your problem also if its the drivers side and water is getting in the vehicle and pooling or getting the carpet pretty wet and you have power windows it can cause one of the connections to corrode and the windows will stop workin usually its only the rear hope this helps
a system flush is a good idea this time of the year.make sure the system is full.water may not be getting to the heater core.also check heater control valve if apply.
The Starter silenoid is probably what the problem is. And the knocking could that be a loose starter? The two problems doesn't seem connected. God Bless Greg
