A/C will not blow cool air. Had it checked out and found out that I need an compressor, dryer (which I think it means blow), oil (thinking again, may mean refrigerant oil R134), and orifice tubes. Just wondering if this could be done be a semi mechanic or does it need to be advanced.
You can buy a recharge kit for like $30 with the gauge, follow directions. See if it helps most likely you have a leak that's a given but even a very very small leak take time to leak. So for $30 try it if it lasts fine sometimes its just an O- ring or the Schrader valve leaking (the valve you put the freon in thru) check for any oily areas yup that's the AC oil it will tell you sometimes you can't find with ***** eye use special glasses to see, you can find them at the parts store with dye in the 134a it stands out.
Hope I helped
Mike

cam shaft timing marks on back of cams ,two slots ,use a flat piece of metal to align .remove no1 spark plug and drop long thin screwdriver down it to bring piston just below tdc, then align cams so both cams are on the rock (valves closed) with knob on back cam aligning with pick up sensor left side between lobes.then bring piston up to tdc and fit belt.turn engine over twice with socket on bottom pulley to make sure no valves clear pistons.Remember to remove flat edge from back of cams i didnt last time and bent my home made tool

It is actually a SE not an ZX2. The estimate paper from a repair shop wrote down dryer. I have no clue what he meant for dyer. My only guess is it may be the blower. Blue Book value $4595 with working a/c.
Another thing that recently happened. The gearshifter will not pop out of park when you push the button. It will come out of park with the over ride button pushed. Have to use a chop stick to push it. Getting frustrated at times. Any idea it may be? Break lights works. Herd that if a break light was blown then it may have a safety switch. Thanks...
A very common fail point for is the Constant Control Relay Module located underneath the air filter assembly. The problem is generally the fault of a poor solder joint resulting in the relay no longer functioning. While this has been a known issue in the vehicle, it is fairly easy to replace, unfortunately it's not cheap. A more sensible solution is to remove the CCRM, drill out the rivets to gain access to the PC board and re-solder the offending joint. There's plenty of guidance on the ZX2 web site on how it's done.
