Need two people to try the following: listen closely to the relay and fuse box under the hood when cranking. Listen for a clicking noise everytime you put into the start position also feel if starter relay clicking. If you hear clicking then its probably the starter. If you dont hear a click sound, sounds like the relay, burnt fuse, broken wire, etc... In that case you would have to take it to a dealership to have them diagnose it. Could be many things if the starter relay isn't clicking.

Are you getting a clicking noise at all? If not, I'd try the starter soleniod. (this is usually the problem - you can take the starter to an advanced auto and they can check it for you to be sure).

Otherwise it's the ignition (where you put your keys in). Sometimes these stop sending the 'start' signal.

2006 CHRYSLER VAN PUT KEY IN TO CRANK AND HORN BLOWS AND WILL NOT CRANK

This can be a tough one but in all probability the problem will be in your anti theft system. Try this, have someone boost the battery. The engine should turn over and the horn will sound. When it starts use your key fob to lock and unlock the doors. That should reset your alarm system. In all probability your battery needs replacing. Try that. Good luck.

You need to buy a repair manual for the car and in the back of the manual is a wiring schematic. I would start by finding what else runs on the radio fuse besides the radio.

Power on but my 2000 ford ranger will not start

Replace battery terminals and/or clean battery posts. Horn and radio don't use as much juice as starting. Sounds like a lack of amperage or electrical pressure to push the starter motor. Also check battery. Needs 12 or more volts and about 600 or more cranking amps.

It's going to have to be looked at. But you can try unlocking a different door with the key. Hold it to the left (unlock position) for 2 or three seconds. Should shut off the alarm and allow you to start it.

Battery died in 2001 astro van....

Some models of the astro were equipped with the security feature like your describing. If the radio is locked (meaning it doesn't work at all) it will be the security. Seems funny that the radio wouldn't work, but usually it locks it too. As far as I know, youll have to go to GM and have it unlocked.
