I Brought a 2000 Pontiac grandam. no dash lights, what's wrong.

More than likely a fuse, rare that all lights would go out at once, so check fuses first and foremost. Also, check your dimmer switch which some how may have been moved to off, this happens more often than fuse blowing.

My 2003 Pontiac Grandam will shut down while I'm driving and it has to do with the security system

The security system is called Passlock. And yes it will turn off the fuel injectors when it starts to fail. Go check out this link, should help inform you about how the system works along with some ways to get around it.

Wont start

make sure transmission is in park.

slide a stick or twig up underneath the steering column which will hold a specialized switch in place. Try the ignition. Should it start, the actual problem in the transmission interlock switch for the transmission [located in the center console] which also protects the ignition from turning on [secondary switch prior to the ignition switch]. What a ***** to have found... took me 8 hours but GM wanted 800$ for the fix.
