DO you know where the fuse that controls the a/c is located in a 2001 vw beetle 2.0 my a/c is blowing cold air and there is no voltage going to the compressor please help thank you :D

WELL AC COMPRESSOR HAS TO BE WORKING IF YOU GETTING COLD AIR.YOU HAVE FUSE/RELAY BOX AT THE LEFT END OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO YOU HAVE FUSE PANEL UNDER HOOD IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON TOP OF BATTERY.CHECK THE 30 AMP FUSES ONE CONTROL THE COOLANT FAN CONTROL MODULE IN WHICH OPERATES THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH CIRCUIT AND AC PRESSURE SWITCH.

There's a plastic door or cap right on top of the battery.
You will find three 30 amp plug in fuses. Pull each one out and see if they are burnt. If so, replace them.
I just replaced these on my daughters beetle.

Fan not blowing heat in vw beetle

Find the temp flap cable under the control head and follow it to the flap. Check to see if it is properly connected to the flap. Then adjust per the instructions below.

Adjustment

  1. Move the temperature control lever to the full cold position.
  2. With the control cable attached to the air mix door link, pull the cable housing out and push the inner cable in the opposite direction.
  3. Secure the cable in this position with the retaining clamp.
  4. Operate the temperature control lever and check freedom of movement at full stroke range.

Fuse 42 radio system blows immediately after

Does fuse blow as you switch radio on/or radio still off
Either way ,remove radio,check connections for damp ingress

Air Conditioning

Check the fuses under the hood for corroision. They should be locarted on the right hand side looking under the hood. I have a 2000 beetle that I was having problems with. technicans check everything and said all was o.k.. I found a fuse that was burnt up and cover with corroison. I cleaned the terminals replaced the fuse and have had no more problems.
