From the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6L SFI 8cyl repair manual, the Flasher is located behind left side of instrument panel. The turn signal and emergency flashers are attached to the interior fuse panel. They are replaced in the same manner as the fuses and circuit breakers.

a relay is a type of fuse, but it is not in the panel shown. it is actually in a black box on the drivers side next to the stereo. you have to pull the front panel off to access the box. once you detach the box from the connector you have to open the box. inside the box it is the smallest of all the relays. the problem i am finding is that it is soldered into the electrical board. so i can try to fix it and hope it works, or i can buy the complete new relay board. Get a new LCM Lighting Control Module.

Did you repair your LCM [Lighting Control module] for the turn signal? I'm about to work on mine, but I'm going to order the relays first. From what I gather it has 4 relays in the LCM. I plan to replace all 4 relays since I don't know which one in particular is the one for the signal function. I got the relays for about $2.50 each, so $10 bucks total.

Wher is the Flasher Relay on a Mercury Grand Marquis 2005

It is built into the flasher. The button you push. If it is in the dash, replace it. If it is in the steering column, replace the turn signal switch.

Flasher relay in a 98 mercury grand marquis?

The fuse block the relay is located in is behind the knee bolster, the trim panel under the steering column, left of the steering column underneath the dash. Common source of problems if that does not fix it is the Light Control Module ( LCM), turn signal switch unit, headlight switch.

Signal light and emergency flashers don't work

Check the relays and then check the wires... If its a relay you will need to replace it and of its a wire problem either fix the wires or get a new wiring harness

I have a 1999 mercury grand marquis and the turn signals have stopped working. I checked all the fuses and they are good.

The bad about these are if the flasher is bad than it's internal inside the steering wheel there is no flasher for these outside of the column except the interceptor models i have one my self and mine whent out too. I also changed the blinker bulbs because there double fillament and if one fillament goes they tend to flash really fast. This is from experience

There are 2 Locations that this Relay could be. There is a Panel inside the Car, Posibly Under the Dash? and one Under the Hood. The one under the Hood is called a Fuse Relay Box and Has a Lot of Relays for Different things in it. The Diagram of what is what in it Should be on the Inside of the Cover. let me know if you need more Help! Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!
