Need to change flasher relay in 1997 Mercury Grand marquis . where is it?

a relay is a type of fuse, but it is not in the panel shown. it is actually in a black box on the drivers side next to the stereo. you have to pull the front panel off to access the box. once you detach the box from the connector you have to open the box. inside the box it is the smallest of all the relays. the problem i am finding is that it is soldered into the electrical board. so i can try to fix it and hope it works, or i can buy the complete new relay board. Did you repair your LCM [Lighting Control module] for the turn signal? I'm about to work on mine, but I'm going to order the relays first. From what I gather it has 4 relays in the LCM. I plan to replace all 4 relays since I don't know which one in particular is the one for the signal function. I got the relays for about $2.50 each, so $10 bucks total.
