The car loses power going up a hill even though the gas pedal is pushed all the way down it is a 1990 nissan maxima in a manual transmission

you will need to get the relevent diaganostic equipment, hook it up to your vehicle & check the results.

that is called transmission FLare (gross slip)
dont slip it on purpose as that burns up clutch packs.

It could possibly be that there is a wore spot on your throttle position sensor (TPS). It basically is connected to the cable running to the gas pedal and tells the computer how much you're pushing down on the pedal.

If you find that it's bogging down more and more often (like when you need more power climbing hills and never really gets going), it could be that your catalytic converter is clogged, but this will eventually throw some check engine lights.

it sounds like a fuel issue are their any codes in the system how is your fuel economy is their a drag on the system is it only going up a hill

Just a guess but if it runs fine and wont move when in gear . that sounds like transmission problem. May wanna have someone look at it. Without see it and hearing it run would just be a guess. could be one of many things

u would want to take a careful look at that transmission

Better check the water separators and fuel filters. Also may have lift pump going bad

Try changing your fuel filter and spark plugs.

have you checked the fuel filter?

Check the cable that lifts the window. If the cable is frayed or twisted and stuck the window will not work.

If this is the case the window regulator assembly must be replaced. It contains the bracked and cables that operate the window. It cost about $100.

I replaced all four on my 1990 maxima.
