it does it every so often not all the time it just dies while driving. then starts after a few minutes .but one time I sprayed starting fluid in throttle body and I got fire . but after fluid ran out it would die again . but would start a few minutes later.
EASY ONE.... Your VSS (Vehicle SPEED SENSOR) stopped working and it is this Sensor that gives the PCM/ECM the information to change gears. Once you change your VSS, and get it working, the Transmission will start working again...
I am Assuming that the Transmission stopped working at the same time the Speedometer did? Is that right?
If it is, then this is a easy fix. 1 bolt and one Wire Connector and DONE....
well first of all i would keep the fuses under the hood an the relays too, because it seems as though the compressor isn't kicking on. and also check freon level (your local autozone will do this for free) to see if it is low or if your system needs to be recharged.
this sounds normal in very cold conditions! The air is never hot when you first start the car in any car, until the engine warms up, then the heater air will also warm. You could check your anti-freeze level for the first thing. If you don't have enough anti-freeze, it won't run through your heater to give you the proper heat
