My check engine light just came on and I had an

My check engine light just came on on my 2005 GMC Yukon XL with 106,000 miles. I had a premium oil change on Monday and all fluid levels were checked and OK. Never had light come on before. Some suggestions as to what is the cause? Truck does not overheat and all levels indicate adequate.

Check engine light means, that your engine computer pick up a bad signal from one of your engine sensor, the engine will still run good because of back up sensor's,need to have a code reading done to find out what's wrong or it will damage other sensor's, you can go to any auto parts or autozone where they can do a code reading at no charge, get back to us with the code number, so we can help you diag. your trouble code.

What kind of gas regular or premium in 2007 Yukon xl slt

The owners manual would call for premium. Regular fuel will do just fine in a pinch but you will get less miles to the gallon.

My 2001 Yukon XL will tap when idling and the check engine oil pressure light comes on until I give it some gas then it goes away and tapping stops. What is this problem?

Without hearing it, I can only guess. Collapsed lifter or loose connecting rod bearing.

High miles? Maintenance not done on schedule? That would do it.

Yukon XL was first showing Reduced Engine Power, then Oil Gauge quit working, now car is running hot

Might help, disconnect negative terminal from battery for 10 minutes, if the compute is getting weird readings this will reset it and maybe help.

Oil Pressure Gauge not working on my 2005 Yukon XL

Those gauges are electric now, check to see if the wire is on good. The sending unit can fail, cheap and easy once you find it, but requires a special socket, get that at the same time.

Yes, most likely it is a defective oil pressure sending unit. However, oil pressure is something you do not want to take chances with. Have it checked with a manual gauge to determine the problem as soon as possible to avoid possible major engine failure. I hope this helps.
