Hello,I own a Swift sport automatic 1600cc year 2005.There was a light which has gone on once,it look like a gear with an exclamation inside. Is it transmission problem? The car is running fine.Is it time to change gearbox oil?Can you tell me specification for the oil to be use.
Tks in advance.
The light refers to the automatic gearbox. It is a general warning that there could be some sort of problem. It could be anything from low oil level to gearbox failure. Get a good mechanic to service the transmission as it might be something simple like low gearbox oil.

hi think its brake fluid warning light if it flashes if doesnt flas then it just parking brake indicator my i reckon it first one so check brake levels if necessary top up above minimum if not theres a fault either the light it self or braking system hope this helps

Hey mate, Had exactly the same problem. Suggest you take the car to your local auto transmission repair centre (not holden) and they can check the electrical diagnostics - if it the Transmission inhibitor Switch (as it was on mine - if so should cost you no more than 1 hour labour and about $75 - $95 for the switch.
