1985 mercedes 190d starves for fuel when I try to bleed injectors fuel comes out of the ferrules foamy

Did you bleed fuel system try bleeding it from injector pipes

The pump is self bleeding so that is not the problem. I do suggest you hold the throttle to just short of full opening during cranking to gain max flow through injectors.

Remove retainers, remove injector and replace seals.

The fuel injector for these can be rebuilt. You can get the "nozzles" from Mercedes and then unscrew your injectors and replace the component inside. They come in little plastic containers and are very specific to your engine. Valve adjustment is very criticl on these engines and will affect performance profoundly. Let me know if you ned anything else or any maintenance tips or tricks.

Can't get free, but you can get a Haynes Manual for around 20 bucks it will have what you need
Go to any parts house and they'll have one specificly for your car.

there should be a vaccum operated selonoid on the injector pump(it's on the drivers side of the engine)check and see if you have a bad/disconnected line there.

the rttles are probably the moumting bushings/ rubbers.joe

what color smoke is? if black, then can by bad injectors, bad air filter, bad fuel pump.
