The rear passenger window fell (slipped down) when we closed the door. There is no tension to hold the window up and the power control doesn't effect it. You can push the window up and down by hand but the slightest vibration will make it fall. Can I fix this or is it time to take it to a mechanic? 2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo. If it is an adjustment I can try but motor replacement then I will take it in.

Remove door panel and check to see if glass is attached to bar that raises the window up and down as they do come loose
I would use a good glue check with the window repair for some
so you get the right stuff

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee the power windows,power seat , door would not lock , and the inside lights would stay one ..i thought it was a fuse problem but no fuses for that ... in the rubber boot between the door and frame ..the was the ground wire was split ... put a **** connector on it everything works great now ....

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...

My front passenger window stopped working. We've checked the fuse, replaced the switch and the door lock button works but not the window. Could this be the motor?

After I verify both driver window control switch and the passenger wdo control switches don't cause the window to operate, I turn off engine and go on ACC Mode and listen for a relay clicking in the door or the BCM while you operate the switch. If you hear a click, then it's a bad wdo motor.

The rear windows on my '04 Saturn Ion won't open from any of the controls.

Rear Passenger Power Window Operation
The rear passenger power window switches receive battery voltage through the window lockout control circuit if the window lockout function is disabled. Ground for the rear passenger power window motors is supplied through normally closed up and down contacts of both the rear passenger power window switches and the driver power window switch. When the either rear passenger power window switch is placed in the down position, the power window motor down control circuit is switched to 12 volts and is applied to the down side of the rear passenger power window motor. Since the other side of the rear passenger power motor is connected to ground through the normally closed up contacts of both the rear passenger and driver power window switches, the window travels down. By placing the rear passenger power window switch in the up position, the polarity of the power window motor is reversed and the window travels up.
The rear passenger power windows can also be controlled from the driver power window switch.

Did you try pushing the lock out switch on the drivers master switch ?

B+ voltage for power windows come's from a 25 amp circuit breaker .

Does your vehicle have memory seats ?
Taking your vehicle to a qualified repair shop an having the systems checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's should be the first step , unless you have a factory or professional type scanner that can read these code's

Are all windows not working ? Two separate circuit breakers left & right . Both in rear fuse box . Fuse Block - Rear Beneath the left rear seat
Check for broken wires inside the rubber boot from body to doors.

If you not sure about any of this I suggest you take your vehicle to a ASE certified repair shop .

Rear window slipping down about 1 inch, but still on the track.

The Regulator will fix the problem. The tracks might also need a little adjustment.(loosen bolts move track then retighten) Try holding the window while you are rasing it you might be able to guide it up so that it will close a bit more.
