First thing to check out is the instrument cluster fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the plastic fuse box cover over and it will have a diagram that will show the exact location. Pull the fuse out and replace it. If the fuse is ok then you will need to check adn replace the speedometer cable that connects to the transmission. You will need to remove the instrument cluster and unscrew the end of the cable to remove it. If your cable is ok then the plastic gear inside your transmission may be broken
In my initial question I stated that there is no speedomiter cable nor is there a diaghram as to which fuse to pull and check. I have checked all fuses none of them blown, There are some fuse slots empty and I am not shure to exactly which one it is. There is no diaghram on either block. Please help.
Did you check ALL of the fuses? Ford put a few odd things on the same fuse (like the dome light, odometer and trip meter onto one fuse. Check all of them and replace. If all of your fuses are good then you will need to send in your instrument cluster for repair or take a trip to the local junk yard and replace it with a instrument cluster from a wrecked or junked 02 Ford Ranger.
