The fuel filter for this vechicle is located on top of the fuel tank.
I believe the fuel filter is under the vehicle and over the fuel tank. You'll have to drop the tank to access the filter. Loosen the nut on both ends of the filter and gently seperate. Replace new filter and retighten the nuts. Secure the tank back.
Put a jack (for a flat tire) under the fuel tank, so you could control how far it dropped. Then remove the two screws that hold the fuel tank straps. The screws come out, the fuel tank is loose, lower the tank by lowering the jack. Now it is easy to reach the filter. One screw holds it in place. Unscrew it, it comes right out. The tricky part is figuring out how to unplug the fuel lines. Look at the replacement filter, note how the plastic piece inside each fuel line has to be squeezed to remove it. You need to squeeze the old ones the same way to release them. It isn't easy. Squeeze the plastic piece that is holding the hose in place until you can work it out. A few drops of gas will dribble out. The gas is NOT pressurized. Unsnap the old hoses, snap in the new ones (much easier). Screw the new filter into place. Jack the fuel tank back into place. Screw the straps back on. Clip the ground strap in place where the old one was. You're done.
