Evaporator coils (evaporator) is the unit inside the car that the cold air come from in the air conditioner. They are expensive and in most instances need the dash to be removed to have them replaced. Fortunately they are seldom prone to failure, but suffer from blockage in the fins from dust build up and leakage at the pipe fittings . They have a TX valve at the inlet end which may block up but this is a replaceable unit . Get an opinion from an accredited ac specialist shop before replacing the evaporator.

Try a sealant . It worked for me

i bet it is the ignition module, have it tested at oreillys or autozone, it is what the coils bolt to, common failure, or possibly a crank sensor

You must remove the entire dash of the truck to replace the AC evaporator core. This is not really a do at home job. Time to complete is about 14 hours. You need special tools and a factory repair manual to get it all back together correctly.

I assume you are referring to the evaporator coil. It should be underneath the dash up close to the firewall. Accessing it would require a considerable amount of disassembly of the heater/air conditioner components. This is not a do-it-yourself project.
