I have a 1990 toyota celica gts 2200 motor I have changed the wiring harness caujse it was burnt and after replacing it wouldn't idle so we replaced the computer still the same so replaced the tbi and throtle position sensor and a vacome line that was bad and now the car idles at 500 rpm and over fuels and misses and smokes I can't figure it out

You may want to check your motor mounts. If the mounts are broken or just too old they will cause the engine to have excessive vibration your notice also when shifting to drive or reverse it will feel like the vehicle jumps. replacing the mounts will help if they are damaged or may be that the vehicle needs a tune up.

Sounds like the connection from the battery to the chassis ground is bad. Try replacing the Negative battery wire and make sure where it attaches to the frame is as rust free as possible

You might try removing the battery connectors for five minutes and replacing back.

If the codes do not disappear, please you might have to get a scanner to do that.

it may be one of the water temp. sensors at the thermostat housing.

also check the plug, wires,distributer cap and rotor.

need to change rotor and cap , and might as well change wires and spark plugs if its due for a tuneup! yeah have your ignition control module check if it doesn't start after replacing every thing else.

sound very much like a vacuum leak.... also maybe your timing is off? possibly advanced? try retarding it with the distributor if thats the case...

strip out auto box and fit a manual gearbox ,this is an expensive repair by the sound of it,is it a manual pump in the box?? or has it had an electric one built in to keep the pressure up as i have seen this on *** cars ,good job not many autos in spain ,macho men here only old men from northern europe buy an auto and they are very expensive and difficult to get

Check the harness connections located inside r-rear trunk panel. You will find power top motor & wire harness there.
