You will be safest getting a good auto electrician to look at it. That box could be alarm, insurance 'black box' tracker or something more important connected to the car. Messing about with car wiring can be a really bad idea.

Autozone.com has some great wiring diagrams. I looked and your Jeep seems to be there. Go to Vehicle Repair Guide>chassis electrical>wiring diagram. You may need to register, but I think it's worth it. I'm looking at the diagram for your vehicle so if you have any trouble finding it just post a comment and I will try to assist you.

Hi, the seat is powered thru circuit breaker 2. The wiper is powered thru fuse 8. Both are in the interior fuse box. Since these circuits are unrelated, the problem may be in a connector under the carpet. I recommend tracing the seat wires from the seat to the fuse panel to see if maybe a connector is getting wet or corroding. Also check to see if there is a corroded grounding strip under the carpet.

Changed rack and pinion. when turning wheel to right horns started blowing. unplugged airbags and horn stopped. drove truck for 1 day now wont start and dome light is blinking and warning lights on dash...

It sounds like you disturbed the wiring or the connector inside the lower portion (inside the cabin, under the dashboard) of the steering column. You may have also pinched wiring higher inside the steering column, up near the horn button. You'll need to track it all down & correct the wiring problems in (and around) the steering column.

How can I reset alarm?

The black reset is to reinitialize the TPMS system.

It sounds like you may have an aftermarket alarm since you described a red reset button under the dash that is not factory?

What I would suggest is to grab a flashlight and look under the dash on the drivers side. You may need to remove a trim pannel to gain access. You should see a black box with a bunch of wires randomly going all over the place (stock wiring is nice and neat comparatively speaking). This will be the aftermarket alarm. There should be a model number on it. Google search that model number and you should be able to find all kinds of info on that system.

1986 volkswagen windshield wipers will not turn off?

look for signs of a windshield leaking water into fuse/relay box- located near pedals under dash. Also remove small plastic trim below steering wheel ( 2 screws) and unplug black connector with 6 or 8 wires directly under steering column. Turn key on if wipers are stopped then your switch is bad- steering wheel must be removed to change switch.

Where is the fuse box for the horn and lights located in the car

It entirely depends on the year and model. Most older trucks had the fuses all together under the dash near the steering column. Newer trucks seem to favor a spot under the hood. Some seem to have some under the dash near the feet and another under the hood. Without knowing the year and model though it is impossible to tell you for sure. check those spots out real quick and if you still cant find it post back with the year and model

Hello, nothing to my knowledge is factory. After market music AMP or security system? Any markings remaining on box? Perhaps followings wire down to where it goes could be of help. Does the car still run okay?
