Hi!
Click on the link to find how to install the rack you need. http://www.orsracksdirect.com/2006-honda-ridgeline-bike-roof-rack.html
If there is another kind of rack you need to install and can't find it on this site, let me know. Good Luck!!
The towers or foot pack just clips onto the door frame, no need to remove anything or make any holes, once clipped to the frame,, the screws go into the towers or foot pack to keep them in thight in place.
All you have to do is set the tower where you want it and thighten a little to keep it in place, insert the cross bar and install the tower in the other side, align it and thighten, go back to the first tower and thighten it. Do the same with the other two towers. Once installed, grab the cross bars and make sure they are securely fastened. The whole thing won't take you more than 15 min. the first time you do it.
Different manufacturers change the look and shape of the towers/foot packs and have the screws in different places, but all work on the same principle. Check this pictures to get a better idea. http://www.thule.com/US/Fitguide.aspx?de...

To remove the roof rack from Honda Ridgeline .The instructions are as follows:--
To install the roof rack reverse the procedure.
Ok the detailed procedure is as follows:--
Unboxing - very easy. Inside, you will find, of all things, a roof rack consisting of left and right side rails, two cross bars, 6 black plastic end caps, a dozen T-30 Torx screws, 8 T-25 Torx screws, and two replacement plastic roof clips:Unwrap all the bit and pieces, and set them aside to your preferred semblance of order.
So first is to remove the two black roof moldings from the channel on the roof.
I suppose there is some 'special trim tool' out there you could use, but for the most part unless you are doing a whack of these every day, I would suggest opting for using something thinner than a flat screwdriver....Just pry up with enough pressure to pop the first retaining clip on the front of the Ridge. To remove the molding, pull up slightly on the front, then pull towards you to slide the trim off of the remaining plastic clips that live in the roof channel. Now that the trim is off, next order of business is to remove the eight pesky grey plastic retaining clips that are on the threaded studs within the roof channel (three per side): easiest way to pop the clips, is to jam your needle nose pliers into the end that has the 'cutout' portion, usually oriented toward the back of the Ridge:Once securely jammed in, merely pry towards the rear of the Ridge and off they will come. DO NOT be alarmed if they suddenly shrapnel into two pieces and fly off into the horizon - you will not require them once the rack is installed anyway.

I was looking for more detail on initial installation of the roof rack.
Do you take the back panel off of the roof of the truck and if so how does it come off.
What do the torx screws connect to?
Are there any illustrations available?
Thanks
