A misfire on any particular cylinder will typically be one or more of:
1. bad plug or plug wire.
2. bad injector or injector wire
Other, harder to fix causes include:
bad valve
holed piston
blown head gasket
get the OBD codes read this will tell you which switch/sensor is causing the issue , the last random misfire i encountered turned out to be low cylinder compression so if the OBD code says " random misfire " then get the cylinder compressions read , hope this helps
I would say there is a good chance one of the cams is off a tooth or two. The cam can be off enough to cause the cam sensor to send the wrong signal to the computer but the engine will still run.
Trouble Code Conditions: Any time engine is running and the Target Learning Coefficient has been successfully updated. When more than 1.0% misfire rate is measured during 2 trips.
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected this is the code your refering to what it means is it means your haveing a misfire in your fireing system it dosent mean that it has to be a plug could be a plug wire or a coil pack on the plug is causeing this or a faulty fuel injector replace your plug wires if it goes off if not test your injectors its in one of theses good luck
These codes are codes regarding failure. The code P0300 means repeated Engine Misfiring. The code P0303 means Repeated Misfiring of Cylinder Number 3.
Kindly contact a technician to get both checked. Their Heads must have been misplaced or broken due to misfiring.

TRY REPLACING THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR..HAVE SEEN THESE CAUSE MISFIRES AND LOW VOLTAGE DTCS AS PCM THINKS VEHICLE IS NOT RUNNING..ALTERNATOR MAY NOT BE PUTTING OUT PROPERLY
