My 2006 suzuki forenza check engine light was on yesterday and then randomly shut off the next time i drove it. The check engine light just came on again and the car would hardly move forward when i had stopped at a red light and tried to move on green. What is wrong?

Suzuki should have stayed with just motorcycles. Anyway, You just had the oil changed. Check and see if they changed the filter also. They may have forgot or were just to lazy. Just a chance the oil filter is bad, I would replace it again(is the oil clean on the dipstick?). Add a higher viscosity oil. At 67,000 miles, you would have to drive dirt roads all the time, with no air filter to get sludge to clog the head ports. Which is slow drain of oil to the pan. The oil pump? well it could be, most likely not. I would say the oil sending unit is bad, but the knocking noise kind of throws that off. Knocking is bad, if it happens again, pull off and shut the engine down. One other thing to watch is the temperature gauge. getting really hot will cause knocking. Check coolant level and the thermostat.
Has the timing belt been replaced per manufacturers recommendations? A loose/worn timing belt will cause cam lash and that can generate a fault code. Also i need the exact code as there are more than one for the sensor in question.
