Error code on 2008 mini cooper s of CCID 031 what does that mean?

This is most commonly caused by a bad gas cap on Your car. I recommend first trying to open and close the gas cap and see if it goes away. If that does not solve it then You may need to purchase a new one to get it working properly again.
