I have a 2004 ford freestar, and we just had the air compressor changed. It has dual climate controls, and the driver's side will blow outside air while the passenger side cools just fine, but after driving it for about 30-45 minutes the driver's side will eventually start to cool off, but not like the passenger side

You have a faulty temperature sensor at the air outlet of the passenger side.

Remove the Positive Battery Terminal, leave the Negative Terminal connected.  Wait 30 minutes.  Attach the Positive Terminal.  Verify temperature settings is around 70 degrees.  This procedure has been known to resolve computer settings.

SOURCE: Impala has dual climate control. AC blows cold on

with a dual climate control system, it is imperative for a proper refrigerant charge to be maintained. the symptom you describe is a possible indicator of low charge on the system. the ac evaporator core is closest to the right side of vehicle thereby making air feel cooler on that side, on the left side of the vehicle the cooled air has farther to travel and warms up from cabin air before it discharged from the vents. this is the most probable issue for your vehicle...however if the charge is accurate, the issue would be more so in the air temperature doors which is located deep inside the dash...i hope this helps...good luck!

SOURCE: 2004 chevy tahoe, dual climate control, blowing different temps

Its more then likely the temp door broken or temp door motor broken/stuck. There is 2-3 of these motors under the dash on the side of the evap/heater core box. Some require extensive labor to replace, good luck

SOURCE: air conditioner not blowing cold air

go to a parts store such as Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone and buy the A/C recharging kit they have with the rubber line and connector that connects only on the side that you need to recharge your system. If you can put air in your tires you can out freon in your a/c system.

SOURCE: 2004 ford freestar air conditioning compressor

Actually, it is very common to be low on coolant. In fact that is the most common cause of your problem. If you are not comfortable doing this your self you will need to go to a shop and have the AC serviced. It is fairly easy. GO to Auto Zone and purchase one of the refill or cool boost cans with a gauge on it. Locate the low pressure side, this is easy in that the fitting on the can will only fit on the low pressure side. Start the vehicle and set the AC to MAX cool. Follow the directions on the can to fill your system. R134a works on pressure in the system. If the pressure falls the cooling falls that is why you felt the cooling better when driving on the highway than you did in traffic. Make sure you don't overfill the system. If you do it is possible that you will damage a seal and end up having to replace the compressor. Good Luck.

2004 Chevy Tahoe: I changed A/C blend door actuator on passenger side and it's still blowing heat on my driver side?

Does the vehicle have dual zone climate control, where the driver side and passenger side have different control? Sounds like a blend door issue on the driver side. Why did you replace the passenger side, was it blowing hot too when AC was on?

Why does 1 side of dash blow hot and the other cold when ac is on with the dual climate control?

Check the actuator motor on the heater it directs the air into the vents. There is probably two of them be sure to check both. The motor makes the vents move and again directs the air where you want. Hope this helps.

2004 chevy avalanche with dual control system problem

this problem is caused in almost all cases by a failed actuator that moves the door insiode the heating/ac duct to change the outlet temperature, it is called the Air Temperature Control Blend Door actuator.

Air conditioner blows hot air after 30 seconds on drivers side, on start up. Passenger side works fine. Air blows out correct vents per setting on air conditioning. Replaced blend door actuator on drivers...

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

I have a 2004 Lincoln LS and it blows cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger side and in the rear. Any solutions to solve this problem

It is probably the (DCCV) Dual climate control valve. It is located RT front of engine with heater hoses and wires goin to it. I ordered one from Rockauto.com for about a $100.00 i think. It is pretty easy to change and I found out when mine went out that it was a very common problem with these cars. When mine quit it started the same as you are describing for a while then it only would blow hot air and it blew the a/c compressor fuse. The DCCV is a dual cylinder valve and i beleive that they get stuck open and short out. If you have any more questions or need more information let me know.

Dual climate control

There is a thing called a blend door, it controls air temp, that is where the problem is, most common issue is the motor that operates the door fails.
