Unfortunately, they seem to be making door handles cheaper now and many people are having problems with them. If it is loose, the only thing you can do is unscrew and pry off the inner door panel and once inside the door, tighten up the connections. Might need to adjust rear door latch, or could be bad relay or switch. Try pulling/pushing on rear door while closed to see if you can set this off while sitting still.
if the hinges are loose making the door difficult to close the brass bushings in the hinge pins are worn
replace the parts to regain a perfect closure to your door
if not replaced the latch will go bad very soon
was it ever in an accident on the left door? You can roll the window down and grab the top of the door and pull it inwards, in effect bending the door frame! I had the same problem.... and this fixed it!
Could be the latch mechanism for the door is sticking. You could try using some white grease on the latch and the contact where the latch hooks to. You can purchase the grease from most auto parts stores. You will not need to use alot. Just apply a small amount to the mechanisim and then work it in using the manual handle. Then open and close the door several times to feel the "action". Then apply a little more and repeat. This should loosen the latch and get it working again. Also make sure that none of the tension springs have come loose on the latch. And check the seal around the door and make sure it is not pinched and has a proper fit.
