YOU FIRST POUR OUT AMOUNT OF OIL FROM THE OLD COMPRESSOR IN A SMALL GRADUATED CONTAINER.THATS HOW MUCH YOU POUR IN NEW COMPRESSOR.IF YOU DIDNT MEASURE OR THE OLD COMPRESSOR DIDNT HAVE NONE I WOULD POUR 3 OUNCES REFRIGERANT R134- OIL IN NEW COMPRESSOR. IF THE OLD COMPRESSOR WAS BONE DRY FROM OIL LOST.THIS KEEP NEW COMPRESSOR FROM LOCKING UP ON START UP.

1.5 oz,if the rest or the system has oil in it.You can always add more oil, when you add the oil to the compressor turn the center bolt,or nut clockwise two ,to three turns to lube the inside before installing it,or charging it.

2000 DODGE STRATUS. OIL LIGHT

I would have the oil pressure checked with a pressure gauge. Most likely you have low oil pressure. Not much you can do about this problem now. A used engine swap is probably the cheapest answer. Have it checked before buying an engine. Could have a bad wire or plug at the sending unit.

The pressure switch on the accumilator is at fault if you bypassed it and the compressor worked. Remove the plug-in on switch and move plug away from the accumilator. Then with a small wrench or small pliers remove pressure switch. (be sure to grab it at the base as close as possible). The freon will stay in the system after removal of switch ( there is a valve core inside the accumilator DO NOT REMOVE IT) Replace the switch and check to see that a new o-ring is on switch. Use a little refrigerent oil to lubericate the o-ring before installing. Hope this will help you.

well it looks like the drain hose is caught up or there is a leak in the ac lines and or water pump is leaking..or the ac compressor
