I have a 1997 Acura 3.0 CL. The engine has been cutting off while driving. I can usually put it in neutral and start it right back up. Today it cut off but won't start back up. When I try to start it, it cranks up for about one to two seconds and then dies. Kind of like it's out of gas but it's not. The check engine light is on because the EGR valve is not getting enough flow. Could this be the problem?

they install an inline filter on one of the cooling lines as part of the recall

You can do several Things to reset your check engine light. One is to simply pull the positive side of your battery cable off of the battery. Im going to say to just leave it off for about two minutes then place it back on tighten it down and your done. The other way is to bye a check engine light decoder. Are find one from a friend any way it has a reset option on it that will reset it. Ok your welcome good luck and may the force be with you.

Sorry, I'm just now getting it to you.  The dipstick is located on the passenger side of the car way down at the bottom.  It should have a yellow handle.  It's just to the right and down of the battery.  Let me know if you can't find it still and I will get you a picture somehow.

if you call the dealer and ask for parts or sevice and give them your vin number and the seriel numbers they should get the code for you, some dealers do charge for this info, I know of no free code people
