97 V6 Camaro, sometimes it won't start (the engine does turn), after a couple of minutes (turn the key till car stops dinging) then it starts. However, now it is stalling when I make a normal stop (on road) and it even stalls when I am driving. NOTE: mechanic didn't find any thing with the diagnostic, fuel pump never loses pressure and the intake was cleaned. Oh, one last thing, I have noticed that before it stalls, instead of the oil gage staying steady it starts to jump up and down, just a bit.

Try replacing the oil sending unit, Some years had a fuel pump shut of built in to the switch so if the oil pressure went down it would kill fuel pump to stop engine damage. Yours may be faulty

It could be your fuel pressure regulator, check this link for details:

SOURCE: 1991 camaro RS Fuel pump not working- no power to pump

If the oil pressure switch has two wires on it it may be one that shuts down the pump. I'm not positive but I think it completes a ground circuit, not the hot side though (but may run through a relay.) There should be a pump relay under the hood with a group of other relays. I don't have a wiring diagram for your car but you can get a basic diagram in most inexpensive manuals. They wont usually give you locations but at least you can get an idea of how the system works. There usually is a fuse. If the fuse block is not labeled, use a test light and probe the back of every fuse for power with the key on (takes about ten minutes and faster than trying to find info) change any that are blown. The most likely culprit is a relay, so after testing fuses look for it. (usually on drivers fender or on right side near firewall.) Worst case, trace the power lead all the way through the harness 'till you find where power begins.Testing is important here...I could give you much better info if I was there to do it for you. Most important is to stay "on track" till you find the place where power ends. Don't jump all over the place or you will end up doing an incomplete test.

95 CAMARO V6 TURNS OVER WON'T START SOMETIMES?

Could be a number of things--Suggest you find someone with a scanner that is capable of reading GM specific failure records. That will more than likely give you a place to start.

2001 s10 will jump start. After it sits, I try to start it, it won't start, but the ignition keeps dinging after I turn it off and take the key out. I can jump start it and the dinging stops.

its sounds like a bad ignition switch-try to jiggle it and see if its stop after you have turned key off- also those dinging sounds are to warn you that you have left something on -usually headlights or maybe even your dome lights which would account for your battery dying

Check your battery connections if they are good then your battery has probably gone bad the loss of power to your computer will cause the check engine light to come on

96 z 28 wont start

The Alt is okay but the battery won't keep a charge? Replace the battery. At least take it to an auto parts store, and have them do a load test.

Your fuel pump is electric. When you turn the key on it pumps up. After it has developed the needed pressure, it no longer pumps, hence you won't hear it working anymore.

Diagnose your problem going through the various systems. Right now you have a problem with the starting system. It sounds like, from your explanation, that the battery is bad.
If your battery checks out, and then you have the alternator checked out, you have an electrical drain. This may be tough to find.

After you replace your battery, wait 10 minutes, then try to start your Camaro. If it doesn't start, (Key to the Off position), take the Positive battery cable loose. Wait 2 minutes, then reconnect it. You are resetting the computer.

I think you may have answered your own question. I would check to see if the fuel pump is turning on when you turn the key on to the run position. You should hear a buzz sound coming from the gas tank. I would start there.
