Properly drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
Disconnect the fan motor and motor connector.
Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Disconnect and plug the automatic transaxle cooling lines at the radiator, if equipped.
Disconnect the coolant reservoir overflow hose.
Remove the radiator attaching bolts and brackets.
Remove the radiator with the cooling fan attached.
Remove the cooling fan and shroud from the radiator.
NOTE: Check all cooling system hoses for any signs of damage, leaks or deterioration and replace if necessary. To install:
Attach the cooling fan and shroud to the radiator and install the assembly.
Attach the radiator bolts and brackets. Tighten the radiator bracket bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm).
Connect the coolant reservoir overflow hose.
Connect the automatic transaxle cooling lines to the radiator, if equipped.
Connect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Connect the fan motor and thermo-switch wire connector.
Refill the system with the proper type and quantity of coolant, check for leaks and bleed the cooling system.
Reconnect the negative battery cable.

CHANGING RADIATOR TO CHANGE THE RADIATOR. THE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM HAS TO BE DISCHARGED AT DEALERSHIP FIRST BEFORE RADIATOR CAN BE REMOVED.AND YOU HAVE TO DROP RADIATOR FROM BOTTOM OF THE CAR THE CAR HAS TO BE RAISED AND SUPPORT ON JACK STANDS.THIS PROCEDURE FOR 97 TO 2003 OLDS MOBILES.
BUY YOUR RADIATOR HOSES FIRST MAKE SURE NEW HOSES MATCH THE OLD HOSES. BUY NEW RADIATOR CLAMPS AND HAVE EXTRA GALLON OF ANTIFREEZE. MAKE SURE ENGINE IS COOL IF YOU GOING TO CHANGE TOP RADIATOR HOSE REMOVE RADIATOR CAP OR OVER FLOW JUG CAP IF YOUR RADIATOR DONT HAVE RADIATOR CAP FIND RADIATOR DRAIN PLUG.PLACE A CATCH PAN.OPEN RADIATOR DRAIN PLUG CATCH ANTIFREEZE. DRAIN HALF ANTIFEEZE IF YOU GOING TO REPLACE TOP HOSE AND DRAIN OUT ALL ANTIFREEZE IF YOU GOING TO CHANGE LOWER COOLANT HOSE TO WATER PUMP.WHEN DONE CLOSE DRAIN PLUG.PUT ANTIFREEZE IN A SAFE PLACE FROM PETS AND KIDS UNTIL JOB DONE. WHEN YOU REMOVE COOLANT REMOVE WATER HOSE CLAMPS THEN REMOVE RADIATOR HOSES PUT NEW RADIATOR HOSES AND CLAMPS ON HOSES TIGHTEN HOSE CLAMPS DONT OVER TIGHTEN. POUR ANTIFREEZE IN RADIATOR.CRANK ENGINE UP CHECK FOR LEAKS.CHECK COOLANT LEVEL WHEN THERMOSTAT OPENS ADD MORE COOLANT AS NEEDED.
If you have a leak near the lower radiator connection that just started, it is either a failed hose, or possibly a radiator core leak that is dripping down to that area.
If you havent changed your radiator hoses for awhile, and they feel soft, it isn't a bad idea to change them both. If you drain your radiator to change the hoses, this would be a good time to inspect the radiator, and perhaps you will find the source of the leak.
Does the oil in the radiator look reddish? likely it does...You most likely have a failure inside the radiator where the trans cooler coil runs through it. Replace radiator and have trans fluid changed and flushed. If slipping continues trans will need a rebuild. (hope not)
if the radiator cools properly and engine does not overheat, I would probably change the antifreeze solution but not the radiator, does it leak? test its cooling capability by running the engine until the cooling fans operate. changing the fluids is a good idea, also lube driveline and suspension
