Service air bag came. How do I reset it? - 2005 GMC Yukon Denali

read the service manual, there is no bypass.
or google for hacks endless
the parts bad must be replaced.
and doing so with battery unpluged for 1 hours. to make them safe and not broken neck/
here it is, pay like me. all great shops have access to here.
beg,barrow,rent,.buy a scan too and scan SRS for errors
the errors tell you what is bad. (even just switch bad)
good luck hacking bags. for sure unsafe done wrong.

you could pull the battery neg lug and count to 10, put back
but that invites more problems.
what you do is, buy the scan tool that supports, air bags.
most dont
then push reset
but the air bags already reset ever time you key on.
so..... what do you mean how to reset bag light.

The CPU has recorded a time frame in which the air bag system needs a service . have the service done and reset the CPU

no there r no servicable parts on the air bag system...u need to return the truck to a qualified service repair center for the repair....they will be able to pull air bag codes an then properly repair ur air bag system

If the air bag light is on, the system has detected a current fault. You could reset it with a scanner but it will return shortly. The system will have to be scanned, the codes pulled and then diagnosed from there. Keep in mind the air bag system is turned off when this light is on.

Sometimes the wiring under the passenger seat can become compromised from objects in floor becoming wedged under the seat.May need to be reconnected if possible..Usually if the air bag light remains on , it means the air bag will not engage if needed. Should have the dealer service department check for you.

no you have to have the air bag system hooked up to a scanner and see what is wrong

hi then it needs to be reset or if some has done anywork on the car thers adrivers squib that if damiged will cause the air bag light to come on or if a fuse has being pulledout then replace it can trip the air bag light best to get it plugedin to be reset to see if thers any codes

Probably the dealer will reset the system it for free.
