You will have to go to a parts store and get a bypass module. installing one is not for the novice though.

Instead of trying to disarm the anti-theft, arm it by pressing the "Lock" button on your key fob remote, put the key in the ignition, and try to start the car again. That was the only to work on my '96 Sable. Good Luck!

SOURCE: 1996 Explorer anti-theft system won't disable

Try re-setting the computer...Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave off for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the computer to reset. The charger may have interupted the signal or something.

How to by pass a 1996 ford explorer anti theft system

Check to see if one of the larger fuses in the Power Distribution Box needs to be replaced. Fuses say: FOAB 14B192-AA 5H11 0301 or 0302. When it happened to the person that I bought it from, he said he switched one out for the other, and then it started. It's an intermitten problem with mine, and I haven't figured it out yet, but I am hoping that's all it is.

I need to disconnect the anti theft 94 explorer

Refer to the owners manual and remove the fuse for the security system. If there are other necessary features tied into the fuse, then you will need to locate the security system control module under the dash or on the firewall, and disconnect or cut the wires leading to it.
