It can be one of the following;

The headlamp relays located under the hood and clearly marked(there is one for the right headlamp and one for the left headlamp - swap them and see if the problem goes to the other side. If not - then it is the dimmer switch itself.

Take Care.

I was changing my headlights on my nissan altima 2005 2.5 s and while changing them the low beam on my driver side stopped working can you help?

It could be the wire just before the headlight plug, or as it is sometimes referred to, the pigtail. I just had one go on my camry after changing the bulb. If you have a multimeter, you can check for voltage at the plug with the headlight switch on. If there is no voltage there while the other lights are all working, this may be your issue. These can be purchased at auto parts stores. Just need to know what type of bulb it is for. It includes the plug with wires and you just need to cut off your old plug and splice in new one with wire
connectors.

Driver's low beam headlight blows the fuse

try another fuse. check that all bulbs work. If fuse blows again in a short time, you have a short in that circuit- a broken wire or wire that lost insulation and is contacting metal. It may or may not be near the bulb you replaced.

'05 Nissan Altima Low Beam not working

Need to disconnect ground to battery before replacing light bulb or fuse will blow. Fuse is located in engine compartment next to windshield washer fluid.

Head light 2005 altima

you have to remove the bulbs from inside of the hood in the engine compartment. in some cars you have to remove some "pins' and remove the entire headlight assembly.. You then remove the holder where the lightbulb is located and replace the bulb.
