If only the radio lights are out then the problem is either the dimmer wire to the radio is out or the lighting circuit is out or the bulbs are all out. Probably cheaper to have an aftermarket unit installed if it is just an am fm cd player. If you need to send it out for repair you can contact United radio. They also do alot of factory warranty repairs.
if the radio is working then either there is a rheostat switch , these dim the dash lights but not usually the radio as well , are your dash lights ok ? or the radio its self will need repairing at a specialist repairer, as radio repairs are not the thing to be done at home , unless you've got a degree in electronics !
All the lights should be on the same circuit. If one light works and others do not then they may just need the bulbs replaced.
The only thing that can be done with the radio lights is to replace the radio. There are no replacement lights for the radio. You may be able to find a local electronics repair that can solder new lights in.
This is an Internal problem in the radio. and the radio will need to be repaired Or have an aftermarket radio installed.Installing an aftermarket radio is usually the least expensive way to go unless you have onstar. than have the radio repaired since onstar works through the factory radio.
I presume you are talking about the buttons and lights on the radio. If so, go to a salvage yard (one that specializes in late model )and get another one. The Chrysler radios Are GREAT radios when NEW. But after a while they turn to problems like you have. You can call a radio repair shop. Call you local dealer and they will tell you where to call and get an est. on repair.
internal lights in the radio, call your local stereo shop & asked them if they can send your radio out for repair. It may cost less just to let them replace the radio then a repair.
THE LIGHTS INSIDE THE RADIO TO LIGHT THE FACE ARE LED LIGHTING CHANCES ARE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPAIR THESE FOR THEYARE PART OF A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND THATS A LOT OF TROUBLE TO GO THRU WITH THE PRICE OF RADIOS TODAY
I had avery similar problem with my radio. At first I would lose audio but it would eventually come back. Then I lost it for good. I replace the radio and that work for a bit and then replaced the speakers and they worked for a bit. Eventually no audio. I took the radio and speakers back to the tech who installed them and he found a short in the speaker wiring to the passenger speakers. He installed a jumper around the short and the new radio and speakers worked fine. Then I had him put in the original raidio and speakers and have had audio ever since.
