Disconnect battery ? Hoping for a magical fix ? Battery light on means there is a charging system problem , alternator not the battery . Do you know how to do automotive electrical circuit testing ? If not your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .
How To Check Charging System EricTheCarGuy Some of the problems are likely do to a low voltage condition . It would also have the vehicle control modules checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ! Doing electrical testing of the circuits of the thing's not working etc... is the way to find the problem .
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
It takes years to learn how to do electrical test correctly . Someone who has no clue shouldn't even try .

SOURCE: low heat from heater

Had same problem. Take off both hoses to the heater core at the fire wall. Using a garden hose with nozel flush with water on the "inlet hose" first(the one hot to touch) then flush the other side. A nasty blackish slim will come out. Oh, cover your distributor with a plastic bag first so it won't get wet. Put the hoses back on, set heat for full high and enjoy your nice warm bravada again!

you probably push air into the ABS unit when getting your lines replace but the Traction Control light might be on because the system might use the wheel speed sensor on the ABS unit to enable the Traction Control.......

SOURCE: My windshield wipers/cruise control issues

Hi Chris.
If you are sure the cruise and the wipers go out at the same time it may be a problem in your control switch but it would be highly unusual to be related to both.
Here is a possible solution to your wipers though.
There are 3 torx screws that hold a plastic panel in place on your wiper motor. Remove the power connector from your wiper motor and then the 3 screws. When the cover is off you will see a circuit board. Gently pull the circuit board straight out (there are some metal clips that will release).
When the board is out look carefully on the board in the area where the plug is. You may need a magnifying glass if your eyes are like mine ;) .
If you see cracks at the solder joint hit them with a solder gun.If you dont you may need a new board.

SOURCE: 99 olds bravada rear wiper not working

Check for power to your rear wiper motor. To do this you will have to remove the rear door trim. Once the door trim is removed check for power at your connector plug on the rear wiper motor with switch on. If there is power there than replace motor if not then start by checking fuses (which is a good idea to do before removing door panel because it's the easiest thing to check), connectors and wiring for damage and open circuit( cuts or broken pins in connectors or open/broken wiring)

1996goldwing trike tail lights fuel gauge temp gauge not working all other lights work

If the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge are not working, there could be several possible causes:
  1. Blown Fuses: Check the fuses for the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. If any of these fuses are blown, replace them with a new one.
  2. Loose or damaged wiring: Inspect the wiring for the tail lights, low fuel light, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. Look for any loose connections or damaged wires. Repair or replace any damaged wires and ensure all connections are tight.
  3. Faulty sending units: The low fuel light and fuel gauge are connected to the fuel sending unit in the gas tank. The temperature gauge is connected to a temperature sending unit on the engine. Check these sending units for faults, and replace them if necessary.
  4. Faulty instrument cluster: The instrument cluster itself could be faulty, causing the temperature and fuel gauges to not work. A qualified mechanic can test the instrument cluster to see if this is the issue.
It's also possible that the trike has a separate electrical system for the tail lights, and that this system is malfunctioning. A qualified mechanic can test the trike's electrical system to determine the cause of the issue.

Engine codes po452, po440,po122. electrical problem?

You should have 3 grounds 1 from the battery to the engine one from the engine to the body and then from the engine to the frame. Look for these grounds they look like braided flat wire. I think you also may have a loose plug or a cut in the main harness from the rear of the vehicle. Look along the frame as the harness runs from back to front. Looking at your codes I do not think they are related to your electrical problem. I gave up trying to fix my gear indicator, I had to replace the fuel tank sensor to get my gas gage working right.

1998 olds Bravada, runs great in the driveway, once in gear, i give it gas and it quits, only happens in cold weather

Bad TPS will give you a SES light. Possible low fuel pressure from bad fuel pump. Put a fuel pressure gauge on the service port close to the firewall, should stay above 50 psi when juicing the gas. Only use OEM parts on a Bravada! Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay.

1998 olds bravada

If all the other gauges are working, then it is definately the sending unit. Mine is out at the moment and has been all summer. Pain in the **** to fix so haven't yet. Have to know however cause the fuel pump went out. Gonna kill 2 birds with 1 stone. We have just been using the digital reader for fuel used to know how much gas is in it. The gas gauge will bounce between half and full but never go below half.

1989 Saab 900 low level fuel light

You don;t say whether the fuel gauge is reading accurately, or whether it's always on empty. If the gauge is always showing empty, it's most likely a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank. Check the resistance across the two terminals of the sending unit.

On a C900, the fuel sender level unit is separate from the fuel pump and located on the right side top of the tank, accessible by removing the trunk floor lift up panel (the pump is located on the left side top of the tank.
Possible problems are: electrical line off or broken, float not working (it's fairly delicate); or gauge not working.

Test the resistance of the sending unit with the lines disconnected, the resistance should be 2.6 to 3.8 ohms full tank, 63.3 to 67.5 ohms empty tank; and test for voltage across the top of the sender unit, if no voltage, that's likely the problem!

If the gauge is otherwise reading accurately (showing 'full' for a full tank, etc) then the problem is likely a gauge malfunction and can be simply replaced.

Good luck!
