on a 3.5, on the bottom of the engine, looking up at the drain plug about 10" past the drain plug and slightly to the right there is a cover made of a plastic-like substance similar to Bakelite, it unscrews to gain access to the oil filter cartridge. You can buy a special filter adapter to use on a 3/8 drive rachet for removal of this plate. Here is a link for this tool, but if you look around you should be able to locate one for half the price:
i think that the trany inline filter, this need to be put back up, you will loose your trany fluid if that breaks or something pulls it out, this may have just rusted loose from its bracket, have it rehung.
Follow the blower wires. I believe you should find a relay. I suggest testing it as well. Make sure it is good. Also make sure fuse is good and secure. Test your control switches and check all the vacuum lines and wiring
