Yes, or the relay. Look in relay box under hood. Ignition relay should click when key is turned on. If not, replace relay. Much cheaper than a switch. May still be the switch, but relay is worth a try.

Well the air bag light would not have anything to do with the engine. The warning light for the gauges would come on if the gauges needed attention. And that would happen if the engine died. When you turn the key on, does the gas gauge register ? Do you have spark and fuel pressure when you crank the engine ?
on my 2004 ram 2500, I had to depress the trip odometer button and turn on the Ignition. all lights on instrument panel will illuminate, continue to hold button in and tach/speedomenter will run full up and back down. once this has completed, the obd codes will be shown in the odometer.
