I'm a somewhat mobile disabled lady looking for instructions (with pics if possible) for replacing a heater core on a disabled seniors car! Neither of us can afford to pay for a manual, let alone garage costs. She is having problems with steam spraying at windshield, especially when heater is turned on. I'm guessing it's heater core? I have already replaced coolant reservoir (which cracked in several places). Need to check thermostat next.
I am very willing to do the job myself but need instructions. Used to do my own mechanical work on 1991 Blazer, so not afraid of getting hands dirty. Does anyone have photo copy of manual they can send us, regarding this job?
I am a retired mechanic myself and my daughter owns a 2003 Taurus. I wouldn,t try this job for anything, take it to a dealer or plug the heater hoses going to the heater core. spring is comming anyway. don't try it!
