2005 dodge neon
I have a 2005 neon and i found mu crank sensor on the radiator side of the block driver side of center directly below the starter. I hope this helps..
It is located on the rear of the engine behind and below the alternator.

The crankshaft sensor is barely noticeable. Like others have stated, it is directly behind the starter, yet you truly need to lift your vehicle up to see it. Try not to try attempting to detach the sensor before you unscrew the screw appending it to the motor. Earth and grime have most likely stalled out together entirely great. The crankshaft sensor is easy to miss. Like others have said, it is right behind the starter, but you really have to lift your car up to see it. Don't bother trying to disconnect the sensor before you unscrew the bolt attaching it to the engine. Dirt and grime have probably got it stuck together pretty good. I hope you figure it out. It should be in the side of the block above the lip of the oil pan. Go through the wheel well. Passenger side.

The crankshaft sensor is not above the oil filter , I heard it might be inside the timing cover , if so is this a big job?
