There will be a small tank with a lid and has rubber hoses that lead it to a pump that is driven by the engine belts. The other hoses lead it to a the steering rack.Power steering tank will be towards the front of the car.The one mounted on the fire wall is the brake fluid reservoir.Power steering fluid is red in color.Make sure that your one has power steering try turning the steering with the engine off and with the engine running.if there is differance in the effort required to turn it than it means that it has power steering.

hope this helps.

Your swift may not even have power steering. If it has a power steering pump , follow the hose. Not sure about your suzuki , but I have seen some cars that don't have a resevior , just a little dipstick on the top of the pump.

What is the cause of sudden loss of power steering on a Suzuki Swift 2010

There can be numerous causes.
You need to take the car to a Suzuki workshop and have a diagnostic run on the car to see what fault codes are thrown up. Then they can identify the exact cause.

Hard steering

It is normal for a car without power steering to be difficult to turn the wheels when the car is stationary or at very low speeds. Once you are moving above say 10 mph the steering should be fairly easy.

What does EPS on the dashboard on a 2003 Suzuki Swift stand for please?

Its the Electronic Power Steering. When it lights up, let the power steering unit be check in a local repair shop.

The other system is hydraulic power steering - which is driven from a pump through a belt system. EPS is driven by the battery / alternator. Low battery or faulty alternator can cause the EPS to stop working properly.
