My 1995 GMC Sierra 2500 4X4 blower fan cuts out at random. Behind the glove box there are 2 wires that have a black connector you can wiggle them to make the fan work but the wires get hot to the touch after about a minute. Any suggestions?

BLOWER FAN WILL NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN TRUCK TURNED OFF

Sounds like the blower control module. Alo inpect the multi wire plug, they sometimes get damaged from the heat. The module and plug should be in the immediate vicinity of the blower motor, generally behind or below the glove box

2005 gmc heater blower quit working. I wiggled wires behind the glove box and it kicked back on but went back off. Can I find a wiring diagram somewhere??

Hi, there are 2 versions of wiring diagrams--one for manual controls and one for automatic controls. Unfortunately both have poor resolution. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Location of blower motor on 97 Cherokee classic

the blower motor is on passengers side behind glove box. you can take it out from under glove box dash. to make the job easier, you may have to remove some fuses or relays because the blower motor will not come out with fuse box in the way. remove wiring connector to fan. then take out 3 or 4 screws that hold it in, then wiggle it straight out. if replacing, use old fan cage to put on new fan motor shaft. have a good holiday !

On the passenger side. Right on top of the black plastic housing. You have to take the glove box, dash, etc. to get it out.

2005 GMC Sierra - 1. started out with blower

Have you had the blower motor switch replaced? I had a Chevy Silverado and the low worked but no other settings. It is a pretty quick fix and reasonably cheap.

Need to know where the heater blower motor resistor switch is located in a 1998 GMC sierra V8

Unless they moved it and are still using the same part,I would say that this one is located behind the glove box sandwitched between the underside of the dash and the top of the airbox. The blower motor is mounted to the underside of the airbox.

Where is the heater resistor switch for a 1995 gmc sierra

Its located behind glove box on top of heater just to the left of blower motor. If you take off the glove box door ( glove box and door one unit) you will see it on top of heater box.
