I keep getting engine noise on my shogun sport warrior with acceleration usually around 60mph but sometime less. The noise can be described as like the sound I had on my BMX as a kid when you stuck a lollypop stick in your spokes! (Sounds daft but this is the best decription I can give). It's been to various Mitsubishi garages and they just say it will be when the engine gets warm and that its probably the tappets that have worked loose; adivising the problem would disappear once a service has been carried out. It never has diappeared and I'm now two years into having this problem. I also notice the noise comes with speeds less than fifty if I'm driving into wind! What can I do / check next?

Try getting some additives to clean your lifters...i think they are called lifter free..a nulon product ..change oil and filter and then try it or get new lifters installed and adjusted.Blocked lifters will make a sound like that and it's pretty common with mitshubishi. Also check if your idler bearings are ok.

2001 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 sometimes while accelerating and sounds like it's coming from the rear end, what is wrong ??

You obviously refer to a noise but vehicles can make a wide variety of noises.

It would be of invaluable help if you could accurately describe the noise, the type, the pitch, is it relative to road speed or engine speed, does it vary through the gears, change pitch or volume on corners and so forth?

I have no side lights or indicators on mitsibushi 2.5 shogun warrior sport 2005 model

There is then a broken wire or rusty connection. Check the grounds as these tend to corrode first.

Shogun warrior

Check your connections at the shifter and neutral safety switch. If you wiggle the shifter and it starts, the problem is close to the base of the shifter or the wiring harness to the transmission from the shifter. Look for loose connections or damaged wiring.

Mk III (2009) - Rattle but dephaser pulley changed

The symptoms as you have describe sounds like a vacuum leak. Many components on the engine run off of vacuum. Troubleshooting is a simple matter of listening and feeling around. Because you can hear the noise you describe, it seems more likely to me be be a disconnected hose, a hose that has a tear or cut in it, or possibly a component that uses vacuum is broken off. I once had a hose touch a hot part of the engine and melted a hole in it. It was such a simple inexpensive fix. Start the engine, even if it runs rough, you may have to keep moving the throttle linkage to keep it from stalling, then look, listen, and feel around for the vacuum leak (especially in the vicinity of the noise you've described). Less likely to me but possible, is a failed PCV valve, or some other vacuum driven sensor that has failed to hold vacuum. NOTE: If you had some maintenance done on the engine lately, look in that area, the mech may have accidentally bumped a hose loose or disconnected something and forgot to reconnect it. Best of luck resolving this problem.

Loud airblowing/whisping noise while accelerating.

The seals around the windows, are where the noise is coming from, and yes, it's normal.

Pulling to Left

Hello!
Perhaps you may be looking in the wrong area, have you checked tyre pressures? also tyre condition? you have obviously had the tracking checked? If all these are o.k. maybe a Brake caliper is binding slightly on the nearside wheel?
Good luck! Hope this sorts it for you? press the Blue Button to appraise my Free effort if it does,
