I have a 1999 Honda CRV....well, my car alarm went off for days while I was on vacation. I don't know if someone was trying to steal it and the alarm never stopped? Has anyone had this experience? My car is acting fine now, but am worried that the car alarm will do it again? Anyone???? Thanks.

SOURCE: Radio code for Honda CRV 1999

If the radio has not been changed in the past, then I am almost certain that your local Honda dealaship can help but as always they may charge you. There are auto centres that are equipt to change the radio code and they do charge.

SOURCE: remote central locking not working on Honda CRV

Hi I wonder if you can advise me ,my central locking and alarm is very unreliable it keeps making a beep before the ignition goes on and clicking,it sometimes sets the alarm off,Ive had the AA round and theyve told me the car battery is dead, which I appreciate, but think the key hub central locking or alarm is running the battery low does the hand held button need a new battery,or can I take the fuse out for the central locking, dont want to pay 66 quid for a new battery if I can pay 2 quid for a new battery for the central locking button,or demobilize it

SOURCE: When I start my 1999 honda CRV it surges to about

no the surge that high is not normal a normal cold start should go to around 1500 then settle slowly to 750 or so but this all depends on engine temp and ambient air temperature

SOURCE: my honda crv 1999 temperature gets whn i run

This could be caused by a bad or sticking thermostat. this would not allow for the engine collant to circulate through the engine to cool it down. you could even be low or out of engine coolant. have you checked your coolant level?

Testimonial: "this is great. i suspect similar thing. my coolant is ok. my mechanic removed the thermostat. should i ask him to return it?"

1997 jeep grand cherokee won't start after alarm went off

I just had the same prblem. Reconnect your alarm first of all. You need to use your key bob "remote" to deactivate the alarm before starting. It is a feature "good one" i might add that should someone try to steal it the jeep will not start until u deactivate it w theke bob.
