This problem is caused by a sticking air temperature control blend door actuator or blend door, this door moves back and forth to get the desired temp, the actuator is electronic and prone to this type of problem, suggest u replace it.

My car was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the electronic motor that was bad as the blend door was able to be moved manually. My brother in law was able to fix it underneith the steering wheel area once he verified the passenger side was working ok. The electronic motor or DORMAN 604-108 A/C Heater Blend Door Leverworks works for both sides of the car for dual climate control and the part number is 15844096 and is around $35. Once he replaced I was able to have hot and cold again!! I have a 2006 Chevy Impala LTZ....

Blower moter does not work ( 2004 monte carlo )

Check for power to heater motor, if you have power then you will need a new heater motor. The heater motor is located under the dash on the passengers side. You can try tapping on the motor and sometimes it will start up (short term fix). There is also a resistor in behind the heater motor but normally the fan will work on one speed if the resistor is the problem.

Ac only blows on 5 in 03 impala

You have a bad resistor. This controls your speed of the blower motor. It is located near your blower motor on passenger side behind glove box. You might be able to access it from underneath the glove box by removing the lower panel. This is what it looks like, but you will only see the black part going into the ducts near your fan7_26_2012_4_16_09_am.jpg

My heater stoped blowing hot air.antifreeze level

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox and Pontiac Torrent,

2006 Chevy Impala Heater only works when accelorater is depressed

Impalas are known for this issue, where the heating won't work properly.... usually caused by trapped air/bubbles in cooling system or slightly low coolant level. Park car so that the right front side is elevated and remove the coolant OVERFLOW bottle cap (NEVER the radiator cap) while engine is running.. This should allow the trapped air to escape. Also add a bit more coolant if needed.
