I cant start my 1999 ford windstar how do i reset the alarm to start it

I too had this porblem. I[m guessing you changed your battery out. Your car alarm system need 100% power. That small interruption is the cuase of your problems. Look up on your alarm system how to reset the module.

The car alarm on your 2000 Windstar minivan is wired into your van's battery. When you are making a repair to your car such as a battery change out your alarm can go off. You can easily disable the Windstar's car alarm by disconnecting the battery from the alarm. The battery is connected to the Windstar battery's negative terminal. Disconnecting the terminal from the battery will disable the alarm.

• Socket wrench

1. 1 Raise the hood of the Windstar to gain access to the battery.
   
2. 2 Loosen the negative battery terminal labeled with a "-" with a socket wrench.
   
3. 3 Disconnect the terminal from the battery to disable the alarm system.
   

do you have an alarm?

yes but proabably not

did you try to remove both battery cables for about 10 min or so ?? that may reset the comp and clear the problem

Fuel shut off switch is located in the back of the vehicle on right side where your jack is stored. You have to remove jack and pull out some plastic covers to expose fuel shut off switch.
First Check your fuel pressure on the fuel rail in the engine compartment. Could be your fuel pump malfunctioning.

you dont have to reset codes but you do have to download the data from the old REM and flash the new one with it. this needs to be done with the ford scan tool.
